TROIKA+ FILM COMPANY
Ricardo is one third of the Troika+ film company, a dynamic production and
creative collective, based in Sheffield that aims to make films in a
different way to the norm. They stretch creative potentials and achieve
professional results in a self financed, economical way. Their
groundbreaking methods and stunning quality in writing, direction, acting,
music and visual effects are a direct result of the passions of the founding
members: Ricardo Lacombe, Lee Civico-Cambell and Amanda J Tyson.
The reason for the PLUS in Troika+ reflects the fact that the original
collective of 3 has now been joined and surrounded by many permanent and
occasional contributors. Their aim is to build skills, passions, creative
talent and output in ways unheard of in the independent film world.

GAYLON PEGLEGG: EXORCIST
(Currently in production)
The second feature film directed and written by Ricardo, and produced with his Troika+ buddies, Gaylon Peglegg: Exorcist is the first of a 3 part, 30 minute Sit-Com spoof. Based on a character created by Lee Civico-Cambell, Gaylon Peglegg is a visually ambitious and surreal piece with many layers of comedy, religious debate and remarkable situations that have NEVER been seen on film before!
Principle photography complete, the film is now in editing and visual effects stages and pick up shots and spin off projects (Gaylon Rap Battle video anyone?!) are already pencilled in for shooting.
Due for completion in late 2006 it will be taking a tour of national and international film festivals as well as being offered for broadcast or development to several major television and film companies. Lee Civico-Cambell’s extensive independent film roles have generated multiple contacts for this project which is already being talked about.

A JESTER'S TALE
The first feature by Ricardo Lacombe under the Tapeworm Productions banner.
Co-written by Lee Civico Cambell, Amanda J Tyson and Ricardo Lacombe this 80
minute movie was shot in spoof documentary style and received MASSIVE fan
support and critical acclaim with several TV and film companies showing
interest.
The film follows on from Lee's appearance in the TV show Ultimatepoker.com
Showdown. Follow the filmmaker (played by Ricardo) as he follows the star Lee Civico-Cambell on his after show journey to regain TV fame and
poker glory.
Online activity based around the Jester's Tale blog (see links) gave a
massive boost to it's potential from the online poker community and really
inspired Troika+'s use of multi-format avenues when producing and marketing
work.
It currently resides with a major TV branding company, acting in the
interests of a huge international online poker company for broadcast and
distribution deal.

Ricardo was credited on co-writing and co-producing as well as editing, composing the score and of course directing, and the whole idea that started the very formation of the film company was that of Amanda J Tyson. May we all bow down to her spark of genius!

VISUAL FX's WORK
Ricardo's multi skills in the field of visual effects have also contributed to other directors films. Most recently he hooked with Theodore Cane Garvey (see links section) on his brilliant upcoming film The Purgers.
Ricardo assisted in re-editing the final fight sequence and also was commissioned by Theo to work on some CG visual effects for this and other sequences. Flying sparks, lens flares, sword glints and enhancements were all part of the work. Ricardo also chooses to produce all the visual effects on Troika+ projects and is currently heading up the work on Gaylon Peglegg: Exorcist (see links section for the updated blog of Making Gaylon).
